Skills
Bachelor's degree in a computer-related field. 4+ years of experience developing web-based application software. Strong knowledge of PHP and WAMP5 (or LAMP).

Position Summary
Software Developers at Marketing Evolution design, code, test, deploy, and maintain complex web-based application software for marketing planning, measurement, process management, and analysis. Our clients are large, well-known advertisers for whom customizability, ease-of-use, and accuracy are paramount. This is a full-time position based in our El Dorado Hills, California office.

The ideal candidate will meet the following requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in a computer-related field
• 4+ years of experience developing web-based software (UI, logic and database elements)
• Strong knowledge of PHP and the WAMP5 (or LAMP) technology stack
• Strong knowledge of HTTP and HTML
• Experience with the use of JavaScript, XML and AJAX
• Experience with the use of frameworks and the application of popular OO design patterns
• Experience integrating software through the use of APIs
• Familiar with challenges of browser and platform compatibility
• Familiar and comfortable with undergraduate-level mathematics (functions, linear algebra) and basic computational algorithms
• Excellent English written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to effectively operate within a team environment
• Internal motivation to produce high quality work at a rapid pace
• Comfortable making and meeting commitments
• Capacity to work effectively under pressure
• Excited about helping advertisers generate better results from their existing budgets

Knowledge of the following would be a plus:

• Agile software development
• Linear programming
• Statistics
• Version management (Subversion)
• Windows system administration
• Database design and administration
• Advertising metrics and measurement
  

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
As a Software Developer you will be responsible (individually or as part of a team) for the design, development, testing, deployment and maintenance of features and/or components of a large and complex software application. You will be asked to evaluate feature or refactoring requests and accurately estimate the time required for delivery. Throughout the development process you will be required to adhere to established standards and practices as well as quality assurance policies, vital to production quality software. Additionally, you will be asked to consistently provide progress updates to members of the development and management teams. You will be expected to be a team player and contribute to the company and its products in various ways that may or may not be directly related to your software development role.
